Quote Notes Guidelines

This assignment helps you:

• develop note-taking skills to better comprehend class readings
• better jog your memory and prepare for class discussions
• find quotable quotes to cite and reference in class and your writing
• connect class readings to your own experiences and ideas.

Each quote note assignment will be completed on a template provided by the instructor, and may also include in-class writing assignments completed on the back of the page. Quote note assignments must be submitted in class, and cannot be submitted if you missed class (except in the case of excused absences). Each assignment is worth 5 points, for a total of 75 points over 15 class periods. There are 18 opportunities to complete this assignment. Good comments should be roughly a minimum of 50-60 words.

This assignment must be submitted in class, and should be completed BEFORE arriving to class to help you prepare. If you miss class and need a copy of the week's quote notes, you can find them on Canvas.

Grading

These will be graded on a fail / pass / excel basis. Students that don't complete the assignment will not receive the points.
